In recent years, womens collegiate clubs from the Wisconsin RFU have proven to be a formidable force in the Midwest. UW-Milwaukee has been a perennial winner in Division 1 for many years, including a Midwest crown in 2009. Marquette made it to the D1 National Championship Final Four in the late 90s and teams such as UW-Lacrosse, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Madison, and UW-Whitewater have all represented the Union in Midwest D2 playoffs in recent years.
